Huggins Band

• Ozone absorbs ultraviolet radiation in three main
  regions known as the Hartley band, the Huggins
  band and the Chappuis bands.
• The Huggins band is a spectral region from 310 -
  350nm

• Generate synthetic spectrum with noise
• Feed the retrieval code with synthetic data and
  try to obtain the original state vector

(Preliminary) Conclusion

• Polarization increases the information content
• Polarization improves the retrieval
• We need a polarimeter with sufficient SNR, and a
  super computer, of course, in order to perform
  the retrieval better
