  reasonable cost

• Sourcing reliable suppliers and negotiating
  terms of sale and delivery
• Determine what raw materials are required
• Determine customer demand for products and
  ensure their needs are being met

• Speed up internal and external communication
• Facilitate effective information transfer
  through the use of databases
• Track and organize information for management
  analysis
