Saturn!
By Sam Green
2
What is it?
  • Saturn is a planet, the 2nd biggest planet in the
    solar system.
  • Saturn is the 6th planet from the sun, it was
named after the Roman god Saturnus known as the
    god of agriculture.
  • Earth could fit into it 755 times

Saturn would be this big compared to earth!
3
What's the weather like?
  • The weather on Saturn can get very windy, the
winds can get up to 1,000 miles per hour.
  • The temperature can reach 130.C at its hottest
and -191C when its at its coldest.
  • There isnt a spot on Saturn at all it is just a
big storm that has been going on for years.
  • Also it has an atmosphere of clouds

4
Saturn's moons
  • Saturn has 31 moons
  • They all orbit around Saturn.
  • The biggest moon is called Titan
  • Titan is the only moon in the whole solar system
    to have an atmosphere.

Here are some other names of moons Mimas,
Dione, Rher, Telesto, Helene, Calypso, Janus and
Tethys.

Saturn's atmosphere
  • Saturns atmosphere is made up of hydrogen,

  • Saturn looks different in every picture because
sometimes the clouds are over it but sometimes
    theyre not.

Saturn's rings
Saturn is very famous for its rings if you look
closely its actually lots of rocks circling in
the planets orbit. There are over 10,000,000
pieces of rock in its orbit. Scientists think
that one day Saturns rings will disperse (spread
out) into space or they will eventually fall
under gravity into the planet.

Saturn's orbital period
Saturn takes 29 years, 167 days and 6.7 hours.
This is how long a year is on Saturn. So if you
celebrated your 2nd birthday on Saturn youd be
happy but when you come back to earth youd be 60
years old.

The Density of Saturn!
What Does Density mean? Density means how hard
something is. Saturns density is 0.69g/cm3. So
if you had a box of metal and a box of feathers,
the box of feathers would be lighter but it would
still have as much as the box of metal. This is
the same with planets. Saturn has got an
extremely low density
Whats Saturns Density? Saturns Density is
0.69g/cm3 this is very low compared to all the
other planets. Heres some others- Mars
3,933 kg/m3 Earth 5,515 kg/m3 Pluto
1,750 kg/m3 Saturn 690 kg/m3

Wind on Saturn!
Saturn faces lots of storms on the planets
surface. There has been a massive storm going on
for 17 years and its the size of two earths
stuck together. The highest the winds have ever
been is 400 miles per second.
