2Why a Group Account?
- The group has one place to gather and organize
all of the references for the project. - Members can attach articles and other documents
with a reference, so that all members have easy
access to the groups resources. - Members can comment on the resources.
- All members have access to the entire set of
references when inserting citations into the
group paper and when creating the bibliography.
3Who Can Create a Group Account?
Anyone with a personal RefWorks account set up a
group account. RefWorks users can have more than
one account.
4Creating a Group Account
- The group selects one member to sign up for
- the group account.
Use the Sign up for an Individual Account form
to create group accounts.
5Group Accounts and the New User Information Page
- On the New User Information
- page, the designated group member
- Enters his/her name.
- Creates a group login name
- Creates a group password
- Uses his/her email address
- Shares the group login name and
- password with group members
6Customizing the Group Account
- In RefWorks, under Tools Customize, you can
change the - default settings.

One handy option for group accounts is the User
Field Options, which lets you add names to the
Notes Fields located at the bottom of an Edit
Reference page.
