Title: Why%20is%20there%20war?
1Why is there war?
- The un-official reasons of the American attack
against Irak in 1991
Extract from the The Modelization and
Management of the Natural Resources 1,
Politechnical Institure, Milan, Italy
2The cost of the Gulf war
42 billion euros
3Who paid for it?
- One can spontaneously say that the 40
billion where paid for by the USA
But this is only half true actually
40 BILLION
25 of the costs where financed by the USA 10
BILLION
75 of the costs where financed by the the Arab
countries, in particuar by Kuwait and Saudi
Arabia 30 BILLION
4Where did the money come from?
- Before the Gulf war, the oil price was around 15
US per barrel
but with the Gulf war it raised to 42 per
barrel, generating an estimated profit of over 60
billion
Where did all this profit go to?
The Arab countries apply the equal sharing
rule 50 to the local government and 50 to
the multinational companies managing the oil
wells. So
5Where did the money come from?
- Net profit due to the oil price increase 60
billion US
Profit distribution
30 BILLION for the oil companies
30 BILLION to the governments of the Arab
countries (Kuwait Soudi Arabia)
6But who owns these oil companies?
In the Middle East, extraction and
commercialization of the crude is completely in
the hands of the Seven Sisters (Shell, Tamoil,
Esso etc), all American Companies of which 5 are
US Government owned.
30 BILLION
About 9 billion go to private US investors
About 21 billion go to the US government
7Lets sharpen our pencil
War expenses Profits from crude oil price increases Profit Loss
Arab countries 30 billion 30 billion 0
US State 10 billion 21 billion
Private US founds 0 9 billion
Profit 11 billion
Profit 9 billion
Now everthing seems to be clear the USA made a
profit of 20 billion with the Gulf war! That
sounds different from the so called
liberalization of Kuwait. they just wanted to
pocket the money!
8But thats not all
- Who, ultimately, financed the Iraqui Gulf war in
1991?
The oil consumers, that is
YOU !!!
9But thats not all
- In other words the USA, due to the crude oil
price increase caused by the Gulf war, made a
profit of
11 billion directly and
49 billion indirectly !!!
10But thats not all
- Where did the 40 billion war expenses go to?
To the WAR INDUSTRIES, which are practically all
AMERICAN companies!!!
11Last but not least
- It is easy to understand that the Gulf war in
1991 was carried out exclusively for economic
reasons, and not for ideaistic and humanitarian
concepts based on defense and liberty
It is also easy to understand and interpret the
two main actual events the reason for the war in
Afganistan and the current war in Irak.
12Last but not least
- The main objective of the war in Afganistan was
the implementation of a marionette government
that gives the US a free hand to build on its
territory of a 2500 km (american) pipeline.
The only alternative to this Pipeline, one of
strategic importance, is the construction of
another one, 5500 km long and much more
expensive both in construction and maintenance
costs due to the Taxes the US would have to pay
to each country the pipeline passes through.
It seems much easier to destroy and bring under
control a country weakened by 30 years of war in
order to manage the shorter pipeline without
outside intererence.
13Last but not least
- In order to understand why Bush Jr. wanted to
renew its attack against Irak, one must realize
that the USA have an official rupture with their
main Middle East crude oil supplier - Saudi Arabia
The rupture became unavoidable, Saudi Arabia
being one of the main countries involved in
the Bin Laden terrorism, but also due to the fact
that the international public opinion took a
massive position against this country because of
its none respect of the most basic rights of the
human beings.
Thus there is a priority objective for the
Bush administration seek an alternative source
of crude oil in the Middle East to Saudi Arabia.
14Last but not least
- Obviously, the easiest way to resolve this is to
invade Irak and to create a marionette regime
under the direct control of the USA. The question
that immediately pops up in ones mind is Why
Irak? - Three simple reasons
- Irak cant defend its self (the poverty
generated by the US embargo     causes a yearly
death by hunger of 300000 children)
- Irak offres an easy pretext (the fantomic
presence of mass distruction weapons which, by
the way, can only be developed with a highly
advanced technology and a considerable capital,
two things that Irak does not have) in order to
justify the attack in the public eye, which knows
nothing about the real reasons that caused war
(the fight for the control of crude oil).
- lIrak does not have the benefit of the
protection of a super power  capable of opposing
itself firmly to the menace of an American
attack.
15Last but not least
In addition, as a consequence of the disastrous
living conditions of the opulation, a dramatic
revolt exploded in Venezuela 3 months ago,
caused by the Americal multinational oil
companies.
Vénézuela is the first crude oil supplier of the
USA. Consequently, seeking for an oil supply as
alternative to Saudi Arabia and Venezuela became
the priority objective of the Bush
administration.
16Now What?
- We should inform as many people as possible about
the REAL REASONS of this war. An ignorant person
is easily controllable. But if it begins to
reason with its own head, it is capable of
opposing itself to the barbaric and absurd
choices caused only by economic interests.
We should support all the associations fighting
against this new, useless war. Small gestures are
sufficient, such as tying a white rag to your bag
or wallet, or hanging the Peace Flag from your
balcony
