2OCM-G Application Monitoring
What is an application monitoring? Gathering
application-related data during a particular
application execution, e.g. - application
topology (number, localization of application
processes) - CPU/memory utilization - per
process, - amount of communication between
processes, - send/delay latency, synchronization
waiting time, etc.
Features of the OCM-G monitoring system -
online, selective data collecting - provides
means for manipulation of an application
Why application monitoring is so important? -
provides insight to improve application
performance, debug it, etc.
