• One day the 7,000 men strong Macedonian army
  decided to attack Sparta. At the same time,
  Sparta was relieving the soldiers on the wall
  that were looking for incoming invasions from any
  other city state. Suddenly a messenger came and
  said, The Macedonian army is coming to attack,

• Once all of Sparta heard that the Macedonian
  army was coming, they immediately used every
  partly and completely trained soldier they had
  ready to defend with their lives that it is if
  they werent attacking Macedonia,

• Alexander the Great and his Macedonian army
  marched and marchedand marched then finally
  they reached Sparta.

• Then all the archers on each side strung their
  bows and prepared to fire! Spartan men prepared
  to throw their spears, swords men were ready to
  nock down, ladders and kill invaders if they
  reached them and slingers were ready to sling
  rocks. Macedonia used battering rams and cracked
  the walls of Sparta fought well with their
  archers. About 1,000 Macedonians died.

• More the 1,200 Spartans died. The siege tower
  and battering ram made a hole in the wall. When
  the Macedonians made the hole in the wall
  hundreds of Spartans came out. Alexander killed
  about 75 more, but more and more Spartans came
  out.

• Soon the well armed Spartan army and the
  Macedonian army that almost looked like a huge
  porcupine of spears fought. The spear of the
  Macedonians hit the Spartan army in not well
  protect places. Spartan swords killed Macedonians.

• Macedonia finally won. Alexander the Great
  said Now to conquer more land. The Macedonian
  army went on to conquer even more land.
