1 Peter 41-12
  • So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you
must arm yourselves with the same attitude he
had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you have
suffered physically for Christ, you have finished
with sin. 2 You wont spend the rest of your
lives chasing your own desires, but you will be
anxious to do the will of God.

5
1 Peter 41-12
  • 3 You have had enough in the past of the evil
things that godless people enjoytheir immorality
and lust, their feasting and drunkenness and wild
parties, and their terrible worship of idols. 4
Of course, your former friends are surprised when
you no longer plunge into the flood of wild and
destructive things they do. So they slander you.

6
1 Peter 41-12
  • 5 But remember that they will have to face God,
who will judge everyone, both the living and the
dead. 6 That is why the Good News was preached to
those who are now deadso although they were
destined to die like all people, they now live
forever with God in the Spirit.

1 Peter 41-12
  • 7 The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore,
be earnest and disciplined in your prayers. 8
Most important of all, continue to show deep love
for each other, for love covers a multitude of
sins. 9 Cheerfully share your home with those who
need a meal or a place to stay.

8
1 Peter 41-12
  • 10 God has given each of you a gift from his
great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well
to serve one another. 11 Do you have the gift of
speaking? Then speak as though God himself were
speaking through you. Do you have the gift of
helping others? Do it with all the strength and
    energy that God supplies.

9
1 Peter 41-12
  • Then everything you do will bring glory to God
through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him
    forever and ever! Amen.

12
Romans 61-4
  • Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God
can show us more and more of his wonderful grace?
2 Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how
can we continue to live in it? 3 Or have you
forgotten that when we were joined with Christ
Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death?

13
Romans 61-4
  • 4 For we died and were buried with Christ by
baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the
dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we
    also may live new lives.

15
1 John 513-15
  • I have written this to you who believe in the
name of the Son of God, so that you may know you
have eternal life. 14 And we are confident that
he hears us whenever we ask for anything that
pleases him. 15 And since we know he hears us
when we make our requests, we also know that he
will give us what we ask for.

16
Romans 826-28
  • And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For
example, we dont know what God wants us to pray
for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with
groanings that cannot be expressed in words. 27
And the Father who knows all hearts knows what
the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for
us believers in harmony with Gods own will. 28

17
Romans 826-28
  • 28 And we know that God causes everything to work
together for the good of those who love God and
are called according to his purpose for them.

1 Corinthians 134-6
  • Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or
boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand
its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no
record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice
about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth
wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses
faith, is always hopeful, and endures through
    every circumstance.

Acts 242-27
  • All the believers devoted themselves to the
apostles teaching, and to fellowship, and to
sharing in meals (including the Lords Supper),
and to prayer. 43 A deep sense of awe came over
them all, and the apostles performed many
    miraculous signs and wonders.

23
Acts 242-27
  • 44 And all the believers met together in one
place and shared everything they had. 45 They
sold their property and possessions and shared
the money with those in need. 46 They worshiped
together at the Temple each day, met in homes for
the Lords Supper, and shared their meals with
    great joy and generosity

24
Acts 242-27
  • 47 all the while praising God and enjoying the
goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord
added to their fellowship those who were being
    saved.
