    supervision is encouraged and a simple process

Abusive Supervision Pros
  • Perceived Mobility is the extent that a worker
    feels they have swing room in their job if they
    feel uncomfortable. It also gets at their feeling
    of control over this mobility
  • If a worker feels that they have enough control
    in the abusive relationship to be able to move
    around, stress and anxiety over the situation is
    reduced.

  • If a worker feels like they are being treated
    fairly they feel more comfortable in the
    workplace. This is measured by looking at the
    degree to which they feel treated with respect
    and dignity.
  • Often, abusive behavior can be explained. Talking
    things over with the supervisor may open ones
    eyes to the reasoning behind the behavior.
