• But it comes down to an economic "bottom line",
  driven by demand

• Stability vs. Innovation
• We are committed to a stable service
• Innovation has inherent risks
• Economics
• We are committed to lowering costs
• Vs. "slush fund" for new developments

Gating Questions

• Will DNSSEC work in the large? Could it hurt our
  registrants?
• Can we study and add DNSSEC while maintaining
  level of service and other requirements?
• Will it benefit registrars enough to register
  more names with us (providing new revenue)?
