History

• Fall 1999 Reporting specs were released
• Fall 1999 Announcement that query specs would
  be sent in early 2000
• Spring 2000 Announcement that QPRAC would be
  phased out in fall 2000
• Spring 2000 Announcement that there would be no
  interface capabilities for third party vendors

• June 2000 Announcement there would be specs for
  some third party vendor capabilities and more
  would be received in August
• August 2000 HLS found out a java applet would
  be available
• Mid-September 2000 HLS received an email saying
  a text file could be used

Solution

• In MSLW change the name of the ASCII file name to
  iqrs.txt via NPDB Information screen
• Send MSLW records to iqrs.txt the same way as
  when QPRAC was available
• Once complete, log into IQRS

Conclusion

• The ability to bring physicians over from MSLW
  exists via an import
• Users no longer need to spend time data entering
  physicians into IQRS
• There is less opportunity for errors since the
  information doesnt have to be retyped
