The SME will enter a pattern by selecting the
Enter Pattern option from the main menu. The
SME then has the option to edit an existing
pattern or enter a new pattern.

This would bring up a CMAP window for pattern
authoring. The SME can also enter a catch phrase
for the pattern and a textual description of it
through a dialogue box.

The SME draws the pattern as a CMAP.

The SME can apply patterns to a COA such as this
one.

The SME can select a pattern via the Filter
menu currently in SHAKEN and choosing the desired
pattern from the list.

Once a pattern has been selected, COA-J will be
filtered to show only the parts that matched the
pattern.
