APPLICATION.
4Important dates
February 1, 2005 Equal consideration date (All
applications received at OCAS by this date will
be considered equally by the colleges.) March 31,
2005 Earliest admission offer date for high
school applicants. May 16, 2005 Confirmation
date for acceptance of an offer of
admission. June 15, 2005 Earliest date that the
colleges will expect payment of tuition fees.
5Did you know?
- The 80 application fee is non-refundable.
- You can make 5 program choices, with no more
than 3 choices at any one college. - You can make changes to your program choices at
any time. - The February 1 equal consideration date is
most important for highly competitive programs. - Submit only ONE application! Application fees
paid on duplicate applications are
non-refundable. - You are the only person who can make changes to
your application.
6Its easy to apply online
- - OCAS receives your application immediately.
- You will have your payment confirmed immediately
if you pay by credit card. - - You will know that the program codes you
entered are correct the online application
wont accept invalid codes. - You can apply 24/7 from any windows-based
Internet-connected computer. - Starting in mid-November, OCAS will send your
application to your college choices.
7Paying for your application
- You have six options
- VISA or MasterCard online
- Mail-in credit card payment
- Direct payment (online banking)
- Interac (walk-in customers only)
- Money order
- Certified cheque

8Who does what?
- OCAS
- - Processes applications and transcripts and
forwards information to the colleges. - Notifies you and your counsellors if your grades
are missing or incomplete. - Lets the colleges know when youve accepted an
offer of admission.

- HIGH SCHOOLS
- Distribute your Ontario Education Number (OEN)
and the Ontario College Guide. - Provide OCAS with your personal and academic
information. - Provide OCAS with your updated grades
information in February, April and July. - Notify OCAS if you transfer to another school.

- YOU
- Set up your own online account and create your
personal username and password. - (Keep this information in a safe place. You will
need it every time you login to your
application.) - Write down your OCAS application number.
- Complete your application (in stages if you
wish). - - Verify your academic information.
- Make changes to your application online.

- Pay the application processing fee. Your program
choices will not be sent to the colleges until
payment is received at OCAS. - Print a copy of your application summary.
- - Verify online that OCAS received your
application fee and any other documents you sent. - Complete additional requirements for admission,
if required, and acknowledge your acceptance of a
college offer.

step through the application process.
14Step 1 Create your account
First things first! Click here to create your
User Account.
You will need your username and password each
time you login to your account.
15If you need help
The help feature is located at the top of any
screen.
16Your personal information
Required fields are identified with a red star
().
You must add your home address.
You must have a valid email address.
17Add your address
We need your correct postal code.
Dont know your postal code? The Canada Post
website can help you find it.
18Select your address
Next, select your address by clicking on the
radio button.
19Add your street number
Add your street number.
Add your apartment number.
You may want to add more details here.
If you have a rural route address, verify the
details here.
20Username and password
Create your username and password and keep them
in a safe place.
NOTE Passwords are case-sensitive.
Answer the security question and keep this
information in a safe place.
21Account validation
Make sure your account information is correct.
22THANK YOU!
Once you have created your account, confirmation
of your username and password will be sent to
your email address.
Now you are ready to fill out the application.
23Step 2 Logging in
To login, enter your username and
password. Remember, passwords are case-sensitive.

If you forget your username Enter your email
address and security answer.
If you forget your password Enter your username
and security answer.

28Navigating the application
Returning to your application to make changes?
You must navigate using the top toolbar.
As you complete each section in the application,
press Submit to move to the next screen. Once
a screen has been submitted, a checkmark will
appear beside it.

PLEASE make sure that you indicate your school
status correctly.
Will you be an Ontario high school student
between now and the end of June 2005?
30Scholarship opportunity
The Queen Elizabeth II Aiming for the Top tuition
scholarships are awarded to students who earn top
marks and require financial assistance.
Students who graduate high school in 2005 are
eligible. Check YES if you intend to apply for
this scholarship.
31Accuracy is important
Do you know your schools correct mailing
address? Select the correct city from the drop
down box to get the list of schools.
Pick the name of the school you attend.
Indicate your OEN here. It will help OCAS match
your high school grades to your application.
32Supporting documents
Your high school will send your grades to OCAS.
If you are sending international documents, you
must pay additional non-refundable fees.
33Request for grades
If your grades cannot be matched to your
application, OCAS will send you a letter
requesting academic information. Follow the
instructions carefully.

grades. To do this, click on the Information tab
in the top navigation bar, then, click on Grades. -
- Have you accurately entered your Ontario
Education Number (OEN) in the All About Me
section? Check your student card or timetable
for this information. - Check the name of the high school that you have
selected. If the school name is wrong, correct it
in the All About Me section and save the change. - Wait 24 hours and then check your grades again.
- If your grades are still missing or incomplete,
ask your guidance counsellor to submit them to
OCAS either online or by fax. -
34Step 4 Make your choices
Follow these instructions.
Click on program Choice to access Program
Navigator.

Choose a college from the drop down box and key
in part of the program name.
Pay particular attention to the start date and
campus.
Next, choose your program.
36Check your choices
Have you selected the right programs? Are the
start dates and campus codes correct?
37Making changes
Changes made after February 1 for fall 2005
programs may affect the equal consideration of
your application.
To delete a program choice, select the choice
number from the drop down box and click delete.
Next, replace the deleted program with a new
choice and click submit.
If you do not wish to add a new choice, the
system will move up your remaining choices when
you click submit.
38Step 5 Experience?
SKIP this section of the application if it does
not apply to you.
If you are an adult student, tell us what you
have done since high school.
39Step 6 Show us the money
OCAS must receive your 80 non-refundable
application fee in order to complete the
processing of your application.
You will receive a verification form in the mail
once your payment has been processed.
40Your payment options
You can pay by credit card (MasterCard or Visa),
online banking, telephone banking, certified
cheque or money order.
If you pay online, your application will be
processed immediately.
41Paying by credit card?
The site is secure with 128-bit encryption.
Enter your credit card information.
You must give your electronic signature by
checking this box.
42Your payment receipt
Print a copy for your records.
Once your payment has been approved, OCAS will
forward your application to your college choices.
43View your grades
This screen is read only.
If you have paid your application fee, you can
view your grades from the Information
drop-down box.
44View your documents
All supporting Documents received at OCAS are
recorded on your application.
Reminder If you are a current Ontario high
school student, transcripts and final marks are
submitted by your school.
45View your application history
The Application History screen shows a record
of whats been happening with your application.
46Print a paper copy
Press the Print button located at the top of
any screen, at any time to print a summary of
your application.
