  with 320.2 KW power output, 1007 Biogas attached
  to toilets, 73 Solar home systems, and 688
  Improved cooking stoves).
• 14 rural energy services centres strengthened.
• 13 micro-hydro cooperatives strengthened

Disaster Management
Natural disaster risk reduction

• Upstream Achievements
• Strengthening coordination (SWG)
• Finalization of the disaster management
  information system for installation at the
  Ministry of Home Affairs
• Initiation of the geo-referenced time series
  disaster information/ inventory management
  systems of the entire country for last 33 years
  (1/1/1971 to 31/12/2003)

• Decentralized level interventions
• More than 3,000 disaster vulnerable families
  benefited from the community-lead disaster
  management activities in six disaster prone
  districts
• Completion of GIS based multi-hazard mapping and
  vulnerability assessment of the entire VDCs and
  municipalities of Chitwan district
• Completion of the Chitwan District Disaster
  Management Action Plan (first example of the
  country)
• Gender disaggregated data on disaster for 6
  districts
