Project Performance

• Goal
• We are designing a system that will track PC Lab
  usage
• This information is used to determine the daily
  traffic of the pc lab

• Actual Problem
• Supervisor must calculate by hand how many users
  sign-in to the PC Lab for budgeting and funding
  purposes.
• Presently there is no such tracking system so
  that at times one person can be too overwhelmed
  and at other times there is rarely enough work to
  do

Proposal

• Plan To create an electronic sign-in/out to
  bypass the paper
• sign-in/out process
• This sign-in/out process will allow the
  supervisor to keep better track of the pc lab
  usage as well as legitimize and show why the pc
  lab needs the funding it requires
• By tracking the pc lab usage Instructional
  Technology can determine when peak times are so
  as to control how many employees should be
  working at any given time
• The supervisor has the ability to access the
  database in order to either create reports or
  update the data

Specific Requirements

• User Sign-In/Sign-Out
• The software shall initially present a user with
  a sign-in/sign out screen as shown
• The software shall provide an error message with
  instructions if the username is incorrect as shown

• Admin Sign-In/Sign-Out
• The software shall accept a username that is the
  same as the Admin ID provided by the PC Lab MS
  developers
• The software shall provide an error message if
  the Admin ID is incorrect as shown

Specific Requirements

• Admin Functions
• The software shall allow the Admin to add,
  update, delete, and to create queries to MS
  Access.
• In addition, the software shall create tables,
  reports, and to print the generated data.
• The software shall allow the Admin to search by
  Record number, Username, Date, Time-In, and/or
  Time-Out.
• At last, the software shall allow the Admin to
  Sign-Out when the Sign-Out button is pressed.
