7Navy Marine Corps Intranet
Designed to deliver a basic seat management
service comparable to the commercial sector and
is operated under a performance-based,
enterprise-wide service. SCHEDULE NMCI is
operated under a 7-year firm fixed price
performance-based contract with a 3-year option.
In March 2006, the government exercised the
option years early, extending the period of
performance from September 2007 to September
2010. PRIME INTEGRATOR EDS The original NMCI
contract was awarded in October 2000. EDS
partners with leading companies such as
Microsoft, Dell and Cisco. FACTS- Greater than
650,000 users expected at end state- More than
100 million e-mail messages sent per month- 3.4
Terabytes of data transported/ 124 million
browser transactions per day- More than 5.2
million intrusion attempts prevented each
month

Navy Enterprise Network (BLII/ONE-Net)
- Supports the Warfighter by providing a
secure, single, integrated overseas Navy network
with real-time access to mission critical
information, and centralized management processes

9- Next Generation Enterprise Network
- NGEN is a Department of Navy (DON) initiative
which is planned to deliver information transport
services and applications to the Navy, Marine
Corps and their Civilian personnel. - Represents the foundation for the DONs future
Naval Network Environment. - Will connect and transform existing DON
enterprise and legacy networks, afloat and
ashore, into a secure, reliable and
globally-integrated net-centric computing and
communications system. - SCHEDULE
- NGEN is in the pre-decision phase. There will be
a period of full and open competition with the
award(s) anticipated in early 2010.

10Sea Warrior Systems (SWS)Distance Support
SWS delivers an integrated Web-based suite of
career management tools enabling Sailors to
assume a more active role in managing their
professional growth, personal development, and
career planning. SCHEDULE June 2009 marks the
next phase of the Navys Career Management System
will provide interactive detailing (i.e., Sailors
search and apply online for Navy jobs.)
Distance Support, a Navy Enterprise effort,
connects people, processes and technologies in a
collaborative infrastructure without regard to
geographic location. It serves as a foundation
for warfighting effectiveness, giving Sailors the
tools to accomplish their mission.

Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS)
- NMP enables the Navy to meet many critical
business requirements, including the mobilization
and payment of all Navy and Navy Reserve military
personnel - NSIPS handles single, field entry, electronic pay
and personnel system and data repository for all
active-duty and reserve Sailors - FACTS
- - NMP programs support more than 650,000 users
at all 20,000 Navy activities and maintain
Medical readiness data for approximately 170,000
Navy and Marine members - NSIPS programs include 351 Shore Locations, 151
Ships, 32,544 users fully compliant with Joint
Technical Architecture, GIG, and FIPS-140-1
