Success in South Carolina
  • Quick Facts
  • 330,000 student portfolios in SC.
  • 100,000 adult portfolios in SC.
  • 500,000 assessments completed.
  • 600 sites (high schools, colleges, career
centers, etc.) signed up to use the system.
  • Does this work? Research tells us.

The Kuder system is making an impact on our
colleges marketing, recruitment, retention and
workforce development efforts. More,
importantly, those students who take the
assessments are able to make more informed
decisions when planning careers, selecting
majors, and choosing classes. Dr. Russ Bumba SC

Relevant Research
  • New research reveals a positive impact of the
South Carolina College Career Planning System,
    powered by Kuder
  • Approximately 20 of Kuder system users
demonstrated an increase in school performance
since they started using the system.
  • In one study, 91 of Kuder system users
    transitioned into postsecondary education, up
    from the 67 national average.
  • Kuder system users are completing college faster
than non-system users as evidenced by the finding
that over 60 of system users had never changed
    their college major choice

lifelong success via interest assessments, career
    exploration, individual graduation plans and
    extended learning opportunities.

Connect 2 Business is an interactive information
technology solution which allows the business
community, educators, students, and parents to
easily share information about career education
and workforce preparation and I believe South
Carolina is leading the nation in this innovative
approach. Connect 2 Business will expose students
to career paths that they may never have known
existed and will help them better understand the
relevance of their work in school and how that
work will prepare them for the careers they want
to pursue. Regan Voit, Co-Chair for South
Carolinas Education and Economic Development
Act Coordinating Council IT Committee

by individuals, by business, by various
    associations and word of mouth.

need your participation to get your organization
