- To outline context of CEC Mathematics Programmes
of Study - To describe the new developments at Level D/E and
B/C - To involve participants in identifying the use in
S1, S2

- Support Schools in securing improvement
- Raise pupils attainment in 5-14 mathematics
- Enhance continuity and progression across
transition points (stage to stage, school to
school including placing requests)

- Features
- Beyond the minimum requirements of the 5-14
Mathematics guidelines - Take account of more recent advice provided by
HMIe, AAP and TIMMS surveys. - Originated in requests from primary and secondary
schools - Substantial commitment on implementation from
Primary schools in Year 1 and preparation /
liaison from Secondary staff.

to effectively address all learning outcomes and
pupil needs. - Further Edinburgh Support Sheets have been
developed for Level D and E. This will continue
to be developed for B and C (available September
2005)

before progressing onto the next level. Once
secure, they should progress at an appropriate
