5The Next Mile Tech Ready Communities
- To create a statewide initiative from a local
project, by connecting the six county courthouses
of the San Luis Valley, to create a system of
shared real-time data sets that will be used
for regional planning and statewide information
benefiting economic and community self
development. - To demonstrate how rural communities can take
advantage of broadband access by connecting
real-time programs. Programs that have been
designed and implemented in the San Luis Valley
as early as 1994, like E911 Authority Board and
GIS/GPS Authority Board.

non-profit organizations citizen based
initiatives from community, county, Valley,

planners. - Cohesive network of critical information.

storage, usage, legal research, etc - A statewide Reverse 911 will be put in place,
with shared real-time data set so a Colorado
statewide Reverse 911 system becomes a benefit
gained from sharing data infrastructure.
