• First published as slip laws
• Compiled into session laws at the end of each
  Congress. Published in Statutes at Large.
• Arranged by chronologically within a congress.

United States Code

• Every six years, public laws are incorporated
  into the U.S. Code.
• Arranged by subject (similar to the CFR)
• Contains laws in effect at time of publication.
