So that more young people are motivated and
engaged and so what they learn is a better
preparation for life - By creating a delivery infrastructure built
around learners needs The workforce,
providers, facilities, local partnerships and
arrangements capable of delivering the curriculum
and qualifications entitlement - By working directly with young people Getting
young people to stay in learning, getting them on
the right courses, keeping them there, getting
them to achieve

5What are Diplomas?
- Qualifications that
- Bring together a broad range of learning, focused
on application and real-world relevance - Provide a personalised programme within a
structured framework - Develop the skills, knowledge and attitudes
needed for advanced study or employment - Help you learn about work and the many
occupations available within a broad group of
sectors - Allow you to follow your interests, develop your
aspirations and progress up the qualifications
ladder - Offer an alternative to subject-based or
occupational qualifications - Are broader than existing work-related
qualifications like BTECs, but with the
opportunity to specialise within them
