Composite Function

• Given two functions f and g, the composite
  function, denoted by f º g is defined by
• (f º g )(x) f(g(x))
• Domain is all numbers in the domain of g such
  that g(x) is in the domain of f.

Domain of a Composite

• Find the domain of g and the domain of f.
• Find all numbers in the domain of g that map to
  numbers that are not in the domain of f and
  exclude them from the domain of the composite.
• Domain is all numbers in the domain of g such
  that g(x) is in the domain of f.
