• 80 DOE-sponsored MERRTT sessions completed with
  2,116 responders participating in the training
• Continuing Education Hours (CEHs) approved by the
  Continuing Education Coordination Board for
  Emergency Medical Services
• 304 student received CECBEMS credit

• Released second jointly FEMA and DOE produced
  training video and User Guide titled Pre-hospital
  Practices for Handling a Radiologically
  Contaminated Patient
• Supported a total of six field and tabletop
  exercises in AZ, GA, KY, and NM
• Conducted Practical Exercises in MA, NY, NC, GA
  and AL

• Received 500 comments on 2002 MERRTT program
• Comments have been incorporated and final review

Future DOE and Other Agency Projects

• Post a selected number of 2004 MERRTT Modules on
  the FEMA Self-Study website to establish a MERRTT
  refresher training program
• Assist FEMA in revision of the existing Hospital
  Training Program
• Assisting FEMA with development of first
  responder radiological refresher training program
• Continue work with Department of Homeland
  Security and/or Office of Domestic Preparedness
  to identify planning and training overlaps in
  radiological response and planning preparedness
