UIL events. Coder Elementary 4 students placed
either 1st or 2nd McCall Elementary 2 students
placed either 1st or 2nd Stuard Elementary 16
students placed either 1st or 2nd Vandagriff
Elementary 18 students placed 1st or
2nd McAnally Intermediate 20 students placed 1st
or 2nd Aledo Middle School 98 participants and
15 placed either 1st or 2nd

UIL One Act Play
Aledo High School participated in Zone
competition and advanced to District with their
OAP, The Imaginary Invalid.
Aledo Middle School had 21 students who
participated in One Act Play. Their play, The
Diviners , placed first.

• Choir Awards
• 2 Gold Medalists 3 Silver Medalists at the
  Texas State Solo Competition.

• AHS Band
• A record breaking 118 students participated at
  the UIL State Sole Ensemble Contest.
• All 3 Concert Bands received UIL Sweepstakes.
• For the 2nd year in a row, all 3 Concert Bands
  received straight 1s at UIL Concert Site
  Reading Contest.
• AMS Band
• All 3 Concert Bands earned straight 1s at the
  UIL Concert Site Reading Contest.

• 1 Gold State Medallion Winner 3 State Medallion

• 2nd 3rd place finishes a the Association of
  Texas Photography Instructor's Self-Portrait

Aledo FFA Chapter

• Cameron Soules and Mindy Eades were awarded the
  Lone Star FFA Degree. This is the highest degree
  of membership awarded by the Texas FFA
  Association.
• 2008 graduate, Brittany Holland will be awarded
  her American FFA Degree during the National FFA
  Convention in October. This is the highest
  degree of membership in the FFA organization.
  Less than 1 of FFA members earn this nationwide
  honor.
