• SUPERFICIAL
• Just the superficial dermis
• Blistering
• Sloughing
• Red. Painful wound
• Heals about 14 days
• No scarring

• DEEP
• More of epidermis
• Blisters or a red wound
• Healing takes more than 14 days
• Leaves scars

what to do ? what to do?

• Remove source of burn dont move clothes)
• Cool down the burn (cold water or cold water
  towel)
• Cover wound with white, sterile bandage (gauze)
• NO LOTION / OIL!
• Elevate limbs to reduce swelling.
• Call 9-1-1
• Dont disturb the blisters
