Family Access Program

• The program provides access to student digital
  records by means of a secure website accessible
  by a unique login and password.
• All parents/guardians and High School students
  are eligible to apply for a Family Access login
  and password.
• All applicants must complete an application and
  submit it to their students campus contact.
• The website provides the students schedule,
  attendance record, discipline record, grade
  information, demographic information, health
  information, and other student information.

Program Security

• Family Access uses Secured Socket Layer (SSL)
  encryption, a method often used to secure credit
  card transactions.
• All parents/guardians and students are
  responsible for securing their own login and
  password.
• We will be able to track access to each
  individual students digital record.
• The accessible information is only a snapshot of
  system data.
• DSISD will not release this information to anyone
  except as required by law.

Keys to Program Success

• The Family Access program is no substitute for
  communication with your student. Please talk to
  your student before you contact his or her
  teacher, counselor, or administrator.
• Please allow adequate time for teachers to grade
  and post assignments. Grading timelines will
  vary by subject and grade level.
• The information in Family Access is the
  information we have for your student. Use the
  system to verify your students school
  information.
• Additional components may be added in the future.

Application Process

• Print and complete the Family Access Application
  Form and submit it by mail or in person to your
  campus contact. Please print very clearly.
• Your login information will be mailed to your
  home address. Please allow up to two weeks for
  processing.
• When you receive your login and password, you
  will have immediate access to the program.
