  • Planning meeting organised on 20th November to
    look at issues for 2004

  • Reorganisation highlights concerns!
  • This is good! But not all concerns are equal.
    Those raised were organised as
  • Operational / Short-term
  • ISS phaseout, SURE hardware upgrade, disk server
    reinstall,
  • Tactical / Medium-term
  • Tape repacking, AS service integration,
  • Strategic / Long-term
  • LCG integration, disk service architecture,
  • Focus during the planning meeting was to steer
    the Group in the right direction in the key
    long-term areas.
  • Sections seem to be working to tidy up
    operational issues. Thanks!

    organised following push from FIO.Need also to

  • Much effort now to understand reasons for
    failure. Key focus for early 2004.
  • CASTOR Service monitoring
  • Lemon integration is ongoing, but we need to look
    at recording things such as robot performance
    statistics.

Projects Cross-Section Activities
  • There has been a regular Tuesday meeting to plan
    deployment of quattor. Initial focus was for the
    migration to RH7 so the name, lxdev7, is somewhat
    misleading.
  • Meeting will now be at 4pm on Tuesdays and better
    publicised. This will be the forum for continuing
    cross-section collaboration on quattor, Lemon
    Leaf.
