TAU within National Treasury?
  • National Treasury seeks to
  • Promote economic development

  • Rising living standards through accountable,
    economic, efficient, equitable and sustainable
    management of public finances
  • Public Finance is one of the divisions of
    National Treasury led by a DDG
  • Public Finance is responsible for assessing
    budget proposals and reviewing service delivery
    trends in national govt depts and their entities.

TAU within National Treasury?
  • The TAU (chief directorate within Public Finance)
    provides Programme Project Management (PPM)
    technical assistance to depts to improve quality
    of spend by
  • Providing management and technical assistance to
    government institutions
  • Leveraging and disseminate public sector PPM
    knowledge and innovation
  • Building and maintaining the TAU as an effective
    and efficient learning organisation
  • The TAU makes a contribution to improving govts
    capability to deliver on right things (quality of
    spend) to SA public through supporting and
    facilitating mission critical PPM in govt.
