• Testing Process

Your bridge will be matched to your blueprint.

Your bridge will be massed on the balance scale.

• Your bridge will span a 20 cm distance between
  two desks and a hook will be inserted through the
  roadbed to support a bucket.

• Measured masses will be added to the bucket every
  15 seconds until your bridge collapses. The
  final load your bridge supported (for 15
  seconds) will be recorded on your rubric.

• The video clips linked on the web page
  demonstrate the process of placing the weights in
  the bucket.

The bridge that holds the record for supporting
the greatest mass was built in 2002 and held
23,000 grams or 23 kilograms.
