What is it?

• An image of the screen in any program at any
  given time.

Why use it?

• To take pictures of the screen
• Create Cheat sheets
• Make handouts look more professional

What does it look like?

How to do it on a PC

• Press Alt and Print Screen at the same time
• If you want the whole screen image to be dumped
  into a handout, go to Edit and Paste

Part of a Screen

• If you would like only part of the screen
• Open the paint program Start, Programs,
  Accessories, Paint, go to Edit and Paste, Select
  the area you want to copy by clicking on , then
  dragging the cursor to define the area. Edit,
  Copy, Switch to your document, Edit, Paste

How to do it on a MAC

• capturing the screen image to the clipboard
• to capture an image of the whole screen Control
  Apple Shift 3
• The image is in the computers memory
• Open word (or any program)
• Edit, Paste to insert image into a document

To select part of a screen on a Mac

• Press Control, Apple, Shift and 4 (at the same
  time)
• See the curser change
• Select part of the screen (draw a box around the
  section you wish to capture to the clipboard)
• Open Word
• Edit, Paste
