2.6 CADfix For ANSYS

• CADfix for ANSYS (CFFA for short) is an ANSYS
  product that uses CADfix technology to
• increase the reliability of importing CAD models
  into ANSYS via IGES or STEP files.
• CFFA capabilities include
• Processing a single IGES or STEP file or a list
  of files.
• Automatic checking of the geometry to make sure
  it can be meshed or modified with ANSYS Boolean
  operations.
• Automatic repair of troublesome entities.
• Manual repair of entities which cannot be
  automatically repaired.

• CADfix is a software package available from
  International Technegroup Incorporated in
  Milford, Ohio, USA www.iti-oh.com.

• New at Release 5.7 is the ability to import STEP
  files.
• Also being tested now is the ability to read
  native CATIA files. More information on this
  will be available after initial release of ANSYS
  5.7.
