Hand Hygiene Options at John Dempsey Hospital
Insert photo of alcohol handrub from Hospital X
Wet hands, apply soap and rub for gt15 seconds.
Rinse, dry turn off faucet with paper towel.
Apply to palm rub all areas of hands until dry
Use soap and water for visibly soiled hands
Do not wash off alcohol handrub

Hand Hygiene with Alcohol-Based Hand Sanitizer

• Press and Wash for Safety
• Apply product to the palm of one hand.
• Rub hands together.
• Rub the product over all surfaces of hands and
  fingers until hands are dry.

Hand Hygiene with Soap

• Wet your hands with clean running water and apply
  soap.
• Rub hands together to make a lather and scrub all
  surfaces.
• Continue rubbing hands for 20 seconds. Need a
  timer? Imagine singing "Happy Birthday" twice
  through to a friend!
• Rinse hands well under running water
• Dry your hands using a paper towel. If possible,
  use your paper towel to turn off the faucet
