ChamberNet Purpose
  • The purpose of ChamberNet networking groups is to
provide an in-depth lead exchange option for
members, with a consistent delivery across
    Minnesotas participating chambers of commerce.

4
Why ChamberNet?
  • Leverage the chamber brand.
  • Compete with other recognized lead generation
    groups.
  • Create a brand with common expectations across
    the state.
  • Facilitate lead exchange.
  • Enhance the value of chamber membership.

5
Licensing ChamberNet
  • A local chamber must be an MCCE member.
  • Pay an annual 25 fee to support the ChamberNet
    website, etc.
  • Agree to some basic operating principles, most of
    which are fairly flexible.

6
Operating Principles
  • Group membership must be chamber members.
  • Group-to-Group Guests must have a system for
allowing guests from other ChamberNet groups.

    chamber may have.

8
Business Representation
  • Recommend having one industry per group, but at
the discretion of the local chamber.

9
Operating Principles
  • New Participants sponsoring chambers should have
a system for allowing guests and a process for
    approving new members.
  • Terminating Participants sponsoring chambers
should have a system for terminating ChamberNet
    participants.
  • Meetings once a month at a location determined
    by the group.
  • Attendance Requirement set by local chamber.

10
On-line Component
  • ChamberNet groups are encouraged to supplement
physical meetings with an on-line social
networking tool such as Linked In
    (www.linkedin.com).
  • These tools allow members to organize themselves
as a group, i.e. each participant joins the
Forest Lake ChamberNet group on Linked In.
  • MCCE will recommend options.

11
Promotion and Marketing
  • www.mnchambernet.com, maintained by MCCE.
  • Listed on local chamber website, etc.
  • Use the ChamberNet logo and brand standards is
    necessary.
  • Logo can be customized for specific group name

    local chamber sponsor.
