    the core

  • Inclusion,
  • Achievement,
  • Excitement,
  • Motivation

    one thing to ensure success
  • Senior Leadership Team should take control of the
technology to go through process with each piece
    of technology in turn
  • Look at the piece of hardware and understand what
    it can do
  • Good schools keep an eye on what is available
  • Overview of worldwide technology but select with
regard to what is best for the children

How to ensure that the ICT Co-ordinator has
knowledge?
  • Use the BECTA ICT framework to provide an audit
towards the gaining the ICT mark
  • Network with colleagues from other schools

9
Technical Support
  • Senior leadership should ask the question
  • Do they want the Co-ordinator to mend and
maintain the technology or do they want someone
who can teach and lead the ICT curriculum?

10
  • Can they then afford not to then have a
    technician?
  • ICT co-ordinator must drive the policy and
    practice and not the technician.
  • Technician should be managed by the ICT
    Co-ordinator

11
Inspiring Teachers
  • Inspire teachers to see it as a powerful tool
  • Take them out of school to observe good practice
or show them examples through DVDs
  • Then train in how to use it for teaching and
    learning

12

    School Improvement Plan

13

    teachers who need further support
