Why this initiative

• Emphasize the long lasting co-operation in
  embedded systems between Electrical Engineering
  and Computer Science.
• Improve the existing co-operation (facilitate)
• (lectures, scientific counsel, program
  coordination)
• Improve the visibility of our UT embedded systems
  activities.

• Existing Research Institutes suffice.
• Existing Research Schools suffice.

No more overlapping disciplines and
over-organization

• Our goal is research.

Projects will be embedded in the existing
institutes and schools CTIT, MESA, Drebbel,
IPA,. . .

• Formal methods and tools (Brinksma)
