  • Tertiary Enabling Program (TEP)
  • Is for people who would like to commence tertiary
    study but...
  • did not complete Yr 12
  • did not achieve a high enough TER (Tertiary
    Entrance Ranking) score
  • have not completed a Diploma and/or have been out
    of study for sometime

  • TEP gives students the opportunity to develop the
    skills and knowledge, they will need for
    successful achievements in tertiary studies.
  • To enrol in TEP students must be a minimum of 18
    years old
  • Study is a combination of internal and external
    classes, available full or part-time, with a
    duration of 6 12 months.
  • TEP has two stages, TEP1 Orientation to Tertiary
    Study, and TEP2 Preparation for Tertiary Study.

  • Tertiary Enabling Program (TEP)
  • Students will need sit an online Maths
    English test, which
  • will determine what stage they will need to
    commence in.
  • The successful completion of TEP2, guarantees
    entry into
  • most of the Charles Darwin Universities
    Bachelor Degrees,
  • and VET Diplomas.
  • TEP is free for Australian citizens, permanent
    residents and
  • Humanitarian Visa Holders.

  • Full time VET courses are available to persons as
    young as 15 years in urban area, and 14 years in
    remote areas
  • most Certificate I II level have no specific
    entry requirements, other than a satisfactory
    level of literacy and numeracy

  • VET in School (VETiS) enables interested students
    to
  • experience vocations with a view to providing a
    platform
  • for informed decision making
  • understand the importance of Maths and English
    and how
  • it relates to practical work
  • develop employability skills and attributes
  • commence entry level training within a career of
    interest
  • whilst still at school achieving their NTCE
  • assist them in securing a School Based New
    Apprenticeship
  • Improves their chances of securing employment,
    in their
  • chosen career after leaving school
  • gain a Nationally recognised qualification

  • VETiS Programs ...
  • are offered as a full certificate, or
    competencies from.
  • students who commence a Certificate III, may
    choose to continue their study, after leaving
    school to achieve the full certificate
  • VETiS programs are usually delivered one day a
    week over one semester or over a full year, and
    in block release for School based New Apprentices
  • Students can access a VETiS program by completing
    a Department of Education Training Expression
    of Interest (EOI) form, and returning it to their
    School VET Coordinator
  • VETiS Classes have limited spaces, so we do
    recommend interested students ensure their EOI is
    forwarded to the Registered Training Organisation
    (RTO) as early as October November, the year
    prior to the program commencing
