Step One For Approval Today

• At its meeting in July 2004 the GAVI Board
  reviewed principles for use of Vaccine Fund
  resources as developed by the GAVI Executive
  Committee. The Board endorsed the general ideas
  proposed but requested further clarification by
  simplifying the language, reducing the number of
  items to only the most salient points. The
  principles as proposed by the GAVI EC are
  attached in an Annex.
• The GAVI Secretariat has worked with the Working
  Group to re-draft the principles, to improve the
  clarity of communication regarding GAVI phase 2.
