Team Members
Team 6 is formed by Erick Reyes, Paulina
Sepúlveda, Carlos Yañes and Gabriela Rincón. All
of us have a different roles. Since Erick and
Carlos had been working in the robot, Paulina and
Gaby were working in the decorations of the robot
and doing this presentation. Then we shifted
turns. Paulina and Gaby were working on the car
while Erick and Carlos were working in Larss
decorations and on the presentation.

The Project
This year the 5th Graders are working on a
project named Robotics. What does Robotics
mean? Well, Robotics is a project which consists
in making robots. You make the robots with Lego
parts and in a program named Robotics Invention
System.

Lego Mindstorms Robotics Invention System
Robotics Mindstorms is made by Lego, a toy
constructive company. Lego is the best known
brand of constructive toys in the world. team 6
is going to make a modern constructive truck.

Concepts
The RCX is the brain of the robot. In the
computer, you program what you want your robot to
do and then you download the program to the RCX
with the infrared transmitter. Once you download
the program, you may start to build your robot.
The Robotic Invention System has lots of
pieces. In them there are wheels, sensors, and
the transmitter. It has a place where you can
program the robot. There are many choices of what
you want it to do. You can make the robot turn,
walk and beep.

The Robot
The Robotic team 6 is going to make is a marcian
named Lars. He can turn, beep, run, walk, and
many other things. We have been working on this
task since November. This robot has a pair of
hands. They open and close. Their wheels are not
round they are like tank wheels. It works when
you touch its sensors.

Conclusion
Conclusion
In this project we learned lots of thing like
teamwork and friendship. We hope we have this
oportunity again. This is our final product,
Lars. We have been working in this project very
hard. We hope you like it.

Experiences
As a team we had a lot of experiences. One of
them was when the robot broke apart. We knew that
would happen, but we had a lot of fun putting all
the pieces together again.
