  • General Responsibilities
  • Be punctual and if unable to make commitment
    either contact the Coordinator (allowing
    sufficient time for alternative arrangements to
    be made) or organise your own replacement
  • Assist patrons with basic computer questions and
    with bookings.
  • Where appropriate, manage collection of fees and
    security of monies collected for services.
  • Monitor the observance of the Centres Policies
    including the Conditions of Use.
  • Record your volunteer hours in the Volunteer Book
    at the beginning and end of each shift
  • Keep a record of appointments, notes, questions,
    etc. for the Coordinator in the Communications /
    Log book provided.
  • Take responsibility for cleaning of centre when
    rostered

  • Delegated tasks
  • provide 11 assistance to patrons as directed by
    coordinator
  • maintain the centres community website
  • ensure site is updated on a weekly basis
  • work with Coordinator to encourage and train
    local individuals and groups to provide their own
    website content
  • provide instruction to community group
    representatives to maintain their own page

  • work with coordinator to maximise the community
    group listing by arranging mail outs / reminders
    / promotion, etc where appropriate.
  • Desirable experience / qualifications
  • successful completion of eLearn course
  • working knowledge of Sorell Online Access Centre
    community website
  • Understanding of Autopublish
  • working knowledge of Tasmanias Community Net
    (TCN)
  • experience in use of digital camera
  • working knowledge of photo / image manipulation
