CALIFORNIA HIGH SCHOOL EXIT EXAM(CAHSEE)
  • Passing the California High School Exit
    Examination (CAHSEE) is a graduation requirement.
    The CAHSEE assesses California academic content
    standards for English-language arts (ELA) and
    Mathematics.
  • The first opportunity to take this examination is
    in the students 10th grade year.

ATTENDANCE
  • Absences will be considered unexcused and may
    affect extra curricular eligibility if not
    cleared within 7 school days, upon return.
  • Truancies are due to
  • Uncleared absences
  • Found off or on-campus while classes are in
    session you are not present
  • Leaving class without permission
  • Tardies Read Tardy Policy!! You must be in
    your seat or work station when the bell rings or
    when class is ready to begin. Being tardy is
    irresponsible behavior because it is disruptive
    to the learning process.

MORE ATTENDANCE
  • Tardy Sweeps!! Will happen hot and heavy after
    the first week of school. (Explain what happens)
  • READMITS must be picked up from the Attendance
    Window before the 745 bell otherwise you will
    be counted as tardy when you get to class. Get
    that READMIT first and then go talk with your
    friends!!
  • Regular attendance is a key factor in the success
    a student achieves at school.

ENSURING A SAFE SCHOOL
  • You must follow the Modesto City Schools Conduct
    Code which addresses not only disruptive behavior
    but also acts of violence and possession of
    dangerous objects.
  • Bringing any firearm, knife, explosive, or other
    dangerous object to school is prohibited.

  • NO wife beater shirts
  • NO punched out belt buckles
  • NO RED or BLUE belts.
  • NO RED or BLUE hair accessories
  • NO GLOVES Leather or Batting
  • NO steel-toed boots

  • CHAINS such as belt or wallet, etc.
  • RAGS, CLOTHS, TOWELS of any color around the
    neck
  • NO South Side, North Side, East Side, West Side
  • NO RED OR BLUE CLOTHES if the student is on the
    site authorized AT RISK list. All shades of
    red and blue
  • PANTS LEGS one up and one down.
  • OTHER PROHIBITED OBJECTS
  • FELT-TIPPED PENS or other marking pens
  • GLASS BOTTLES OR CONTAINERS.

MANDATORY SUSPENSIONS
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Under the influence of a controlled substance
  • Arson
  • Willful defiance
  • Sexual harassment
  • Mutual combat
  • Destruction of school property
  • Theft
  • Possession or use of tobacco

CLOSED CAMPUS
  • Students may not leave during lunch or between
    classes.
  • All students who leave the school premise during
    the school day and return are subject to search.
