1st Street New York, NY 10032 Dear Mr. Doe, I
am a 25 year-old nurse. A month ago, I bought
one of your Super Deluxe Hair Dryers at my local
Rite Aid store. Yesterday, when I used it to dry
my hair before going to work, it quit
working. When I pressed the switch, no air came
out of the dryer, but there was a horrible
grinding noise. In addition, sparks and black
smoke started shooting out of the end of the
dryer. I quickly unplugged the dryer, but the
sparks damaged my bathroom counter, so in
addition to the dryer not working, my counter is
blackened in several places. I would like you to
replace the dryer with a new one, and I would
also like to be reimbursed for fixing the
bathroom counter. I have enclosed my sales
receipt from the dryers purchase, and I have
enclosed the defective dryer. In addition, I am
enclosing three estimates for the cost of fixing
