Delias story

• Delia is a 12 year old girl. She was married
  when she was ten. Even though she is too young to
  live with her husband she is not allowed to go to
  school any more, because the family of her
  husband cannot read and write. In their culture a
  girl must not be cleverer than her husband.
• In her new home she has to wear special
  clothes and she must cover her face. She hates
  that Her father had to sell his old house in
  town so that he could pay the dowry for this
  three daughters.
• When she is 14, she must leave her family
  forever and go to a faraway village in the
  desert. There she must work for her husbands
  family on the farm.Only is her husband agrees
  she can see her family again.There is no escape.
