CHIPPING
  • Use a square stance and open hip (30).
  • Hands are farther ahead of the ball.
  • The shaft should be angled forward.
  • Position the ball in the middle to the back in
    your stance.
  • Shift more weight on the target side foot.
  • The more loft used, the higher the shot flies and
    the shorter the ball rolls upon landing.
  • The less loft used, the lower the shot flies and
    the more the ball rolls upon landing.

  • In the rough
  • Use a narrow stance and position the ball back by
    your right foot.
  • Cock the wrists using a steep take away.
  • Accelerate through the ball at impact, sharp blow
    into the back of the ball.
  • The clubface should be fractionally open.
  • Use a wedge.

  • On the apron
  • Use a straight faced club.
  • Use a narrow stance, feet quite close together.
  • Bend slightly forward from the hips keeping the
    weight on the balls of your feet.
  • The left hand must not stop on the follow
    through.

  • ½ swing with the arms only.

  • Create a triangle with your hands, arms, and
    shoulders at address.
  • Swing that triangle back and through, keeping the
    arms relaxed.
  • Position the ball in the middle of your stance.
  • Shift your weight slightly forward.
  • Your hands are ahead of the ball.

  • Over 30 yards
  • Stop your back swing when the shaft is parallel
    to the ground and swing through until the shaft
    is perpendicular.
  • Keep your hands ahead of the ball.
  • Position the ball in the middle of your stance.
  • Shift more weight to the left side.
  • Use an open but narrow stance.

CHIPPING PITCHING
  • The club shaft and your left arm form a straight
    line.
  • Let your hands and arms due the work.
  • Your upper body is still.
  • Let the loft of the club lifts the ball.
  • Swing quite steeply, keeping your head steady.
  • Keep the clubface square through impact and
    afterwards to impart maximum backspin on the ball
    with a ball/turf strike.

  • Use a 56º or 60º wedge.
  • Open the clubface.
  • Position the ball forward in your stance
  • Hit behind the ball with a descending blow.

  • Have the clubface square to the target.
  • Increase the back swing length to generate speed.

  • Hand are well ahead of the clubface.
  • Shift your weight to the left.
  • Use a short back swing.
  • Hit the ball first and flush.

  • Use an 8 iron.
  • Position the ball back in your stance.

  • Swing the club at an even pace.

  • 75 100 Yards in the Fairway
  • Position the ball in the middle of your stance.
  • Hands are slightly ahead of the clubface.
  • Your weight is evenly distributed.
  • Have the clubface square to the target.
  • Use a PW with a ¾ swing.
  • Have a slight turn to the right with the hips.
  • Arms swing hands quiet.
  • Make a shallow divot.

  • The Long Lazy Lob (Tight Lie / No Green)
  • Use a 60º Wedge.
  • Position the ball in the middle of your stance.
  • Shift your weight to favor the right side.
  • Use a light grip pressure.
  • Maintain the V for a shallow shot at impact.
  • Keep the clubface away from the body parallel to
    the ground.
