  • Just Like You
  • From the Medieval times to now, when it comes
down to it, society has hasnt changed much.
  • You're probably familiar with the word
    "prejudice." Some individuals are treated
differently because they aren't the same as most
people. Some get treated differently because of
the color of their skin. Others, because of the
house of worship they attend, or because of the
country their ancestors came from. Some,
because of their health and physical abilities.
Everyone knows that it's wrong to make fun of
someone because of his race. Everyone knows it's
wrong to hurt someone because her religion is
different from yours. Everyone knows it's wrong
to insult someone because he was born in another
    country.
  • So why do people who are different physically or
mentally get called retarted or worse?
  • On your web packet, answer the question below.

    academically challenged?
  • Click on the person to continue.

  • Can You Guess Who?
  • When you have finished, go back to the "Just Like
Me" section of your webquest packet and answer
    questions 8-10.
  • 8. What is a Learning Disability?
  • 9. What is Dyslexia?
  • 10. Write at least two famous people who
    have/had a
  • learning disability. How did these
    people
  • overcome the disability?

from those around you. Why did you stick out or
