Management Extensions (JMX), Java Data Ojects
(JDO), JavaMail. - Uses database technology to make managing complex
data relationships simple. - Provides high-performance analytical capability.
- Deployable in differing client and server
configurations. - Clients Windows Vista, XP, Linux, Mac OS X.
- Servers Windows 2003, Linux, Sun Solaris.
6Case Management High Level Features
- Real-time coordination, with decision support
system. - Customizable workflow.
- Link analysis capabilities.
- Unique forms and reporting tools.
- Customizable user and system configurations.

7Case Management Bring Organizations and Experts
Together
- Simultaneously share information with one or more
individuals or organizations. - Communicate with your colleagues.
- Records complete history of transactions and
communications within the system. - Domain terminologyCases ApplicationsParties
Companies, PersonsItems Commodities
8Case Management Internationalization and
Localization
- Set of political, cultural, and region-specific

Objects (PDO) such as Cases, Parties, Items and
more complete history of changes. - Document Abstraction Layer (DAL) can communicate
with CVS, text files, or commercial document
management systems like Documentum.
Note Primary Domain Objects are discrete pieces
of information that are essential to the domain
and system.
10Workflow ManagementAdaptable Processes
Adaptable Technologies
- Management of workflow consists of core Tracker
components - Ownership.
- Assignment (Referral).
- Users, groups, and roles.
- Permissions Matrix.
11Workflow Management Permissions Matrix
- Allows administrative users to assign permissions
against specific domain categories of
information. - Relationship.State.Object.Action
- my.escalated.case.decide
- Relationship.State.Object.Element.Action
- my.escalated.case.decision.comments.modify
12Workflow Management Managing Work
- Define individual units of work with an
organization. - View and Interact with work in logical and
meaningful ways. - Set repeating activities.
- Manage priorities.
