• ISO 27001
• ISO 27001 is a new international information
  security management standard intended to replace
  BS 7799-2 and German IT Baseline Protection
  standard. In January 2006, TDSs IT Outsourcing
  division was the first German data center to be
  certified to this standard.
• Certification demonstrates the effective
  implementation of an effective information
  security management system to recognized
  standards.
• It shows that information and data are protected
  against threats to confidentiality, integrity and
  availability.

DQS GmbH, specialists in the certification of
management systems

• BS 7799-2
• BS 7799-2 is the British standard for information
  security management systems (ISMS). From early
  2006, it will be withdrawn by the British
  Standards Institute and replaced by ISO 27001.
• Prior to the changeover to ISO 27001, DQS
  certified TDS to BS 7799-2. Since the British
  standard is still internationally very well
  known, TDS will continue to operate this
  management system until the certification expires
  in 2008.

• Section 25a (1 and 2), KWG (German Banking Law)
• Pursuant to Section 25a of German Banking Law
  (KWG), banks and insurers must demonstrate that
  outsourcing does not lead to a reduction in
  standards of quality or the service provided.
• In order to comply with these standards, these
  companies internal auditors carry out audits at
  TDS, which always go smoothly, leading to no
  objections.

• Audit of data-center security/safety
• Insurance companies regularly commission
  independent experts to carry out audits of
  security/safety at TDS data centers, in order to
  identify risk for determining premiums. TDS has
  always achieved particularly good ratings.
• These audits are carried out by certified
  independent experts, paid for by the insurance
  companies.
• TDS has also achieved excellent results for its
  high-security facilities when inspected by
  auditors on behalf of TDS customers (e.g.
  compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley SAS 70).

  (VDA) standard for service providers quality
  management systems.
• TDSs IT Outsourcing division is regularly
  audited by automotive component suppliers to VDA
  6.2, and has achieved the highest rating
  (category A).

• Harmonized standard for certification of
  automotive component suppliers QM systems,
  recognized by all automakers worldwide.
• The ISO/TS 16949 technical specification unites
  all previous/published requirements of the US and

  QS 9000, ISO 9001)
• TDSs IT Outsourcing division is regularly
  audited by automotive component suppliers in line

Section 25a (1 and 2) of the German Banking Law
(KWG)

• The KWG governs banking and insurance operations,
  and safeguards customers assets.

GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)

• For customers in the pharmaceuticals and
  cosmetics industries, our data centers are
  validated in accordance with GMP, GAMP 4 (Guide
  for Validation of Automated Systems).

Audits in accordance with other
standards/requirements
VDA 6.2

• This audit guarantees compliance with the
  industry-specific standard for our outsourcing
  customers in the automotive sector. Our IT
  outsourcing services achieved the highest rating
  (A).

ISO/TS 16949

• The IT outsourcing division was also subject to
  multiple audits by auto-industry suppliers, and
  achieved the highest rating (A).

SOX (SAS70)

• Customers external auditors performed audits of
  TDS IT controls in accordance with the
  Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). TDS achieved extremely
  good results.

Review of security in data centers

• TDS data-center security is examined regularly on
  behalf of insurance companies, in order to
  determine risk for calculating insurance premiums.
