- A patient is trying to sell his dental
appointment on internet auction site eBay,
reports the Daily Record. - Richard Barrie, 29, waited two years for an NHS
dental consultation and was then given two
appointments within weeks of each other. - The IT worker from Glenrothes, Fife, moved house
five years ago and had tried in vain to register
with an NHS dentist in his new area. - Richard, who will give the proceeds to an animal
charity, said I thought something had to be done
to highlight how bad things have got. - But a spokeswoman for NHS Fife said We view his
actions as being extremely selfish. It is also
illegal. - March 2006

dental body corporate, licensed by the General
Dental Council, the first new dental body
corporate in 50 years
