Title: Clearcom, Clearing Office

1
Main questions to YOU
  • Are you aware of costs and risks in existing
    settlement processes?
  • Are you interested in improving processes and
    reducing costs and risks?

2
THE ANSWER
  • Clearcom offers you the following solution !

3
The difference
  • Without Clearcom each bilateral invoice leads to
a separate payment at undefined date and
    exchange rate
  • With Clearcom all bilateral invoices are being
consolidated to monthly lists per business
partner and 1 5 payments for the balance over
all partners at defined date and exchange rate

4
Clearcom is the solution !
  • Simplify international settlements by
    multilateral netting system
  • Reduce the number of international payments to
1-5 payments per month for settlement with all
    members
  • Speed up payment process by defined monthly
    deadlines
  • Avoid currency risk by given exchange rates
  • All kinds of services can be included

5
What is the use of Clearcom ?
  • Number of necessary payments is reduced
  • Bank charges are minimized
  • Cash-flow is optimized
  • Only a part of the settled amounts (at the moment
approx. 30 ) must be transferred through the bank

6
What can be settled in Clearcom ?
  • All mutual invoices between members that are
accepted and for which this solution is agreed
    between the concerned members
  • All above mentioned invoices being established in
    SDR, EUR or USD
  • Disputes must be solved before notification
(statutes) or can be solved later (bilateral
    agreement)

How does Clearcom work ?
  • Notification of amounts to Clearcom
  • Statement of account by Clearing Office
  • Resulting final payments

9
Notification of amounts
  • Each member informs
  • Each partner with detailed list of invoices
  • By e-mail, fax or letter
  • By entering a file in the Intranet
  • The Clearing Office with totals per partner
  • By entering the figures directly in the Intranet
  • By one of the above mentioned means

10
File transfer to and from Clearcom
  • Notification by Intranet is possible with file
    (.csv) transfer
  • Notification by Intranet produces direct
information to the correspondent member by e-mail
  • Statement of account and information concerning
the final payments are being dispatched by e-mail

11
What is the use of this tool ?
  • Data entry in the Intranet is being simplified
  • Detailed data can easily be entered (saves time)
  • Separate dispatch of list to the partners is no
    more necessary (saves costs)
  • Earlier receipt of notifications from the
    partners
  • No letters for statements necessary (saves costs)
  • Statement of account and payment details are
available immediately after closing of the
    Clearing
  • Terms for the final payments can be reduced

12
Statement of account
  • On the first working day of the new month the
Clearing Office establishes a statement of
account for each member listing their credits and
    debts from the aforementioned notifications
  • One statement per currency (SDR, EUR, USD)

13
Final payments
  • Together with the statement of account the
Clearing Office informs all members in which
portions (max. 5) and from/to which members the
resulting balance has to be received or paid
  • Clearing Office also provides information about
exchange rates to be used and terms of payments
  • Debtor members arrange their payments within due
    terms
