    negotiate their sustainable energy requirements

    sustainability, targets, grid connection rules
    for decentralised generation, tariffs, etc.

    areas
  • Financing, investments, import / other taxes, and
    support schemes for energy sector programmes and
    projects, with particular emphasis on SMEs
  • Promoting best practice in energy services to
    meet the needs of the poor

  • Training and networking for energy policy makers,
    regulators, and planners
  • Training, networking, mobility and study tours
    for energy professionals
  • Strengthening and reorienting existing Energy
    Centres, Agencies, and Industry Associations

COOPENER - participation rules
  • 2nd Call will focus on sub-Saharan Africa and
    Latin America
  • Sahara southwards, incl. South Africa, Cap Verde
    Islands, Madagascar
  • Latin America (in particular Bolivia, Ecuador,
    El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua,
    Paraguay, Peru).
  • 5 M available for the 2nd Call
  • Minimum of TWO European partners from TWO
    European countries per project
  • Projects must involve participants from
    developing countries, who must
  • have clear and substantial roles (see
    application forms)
  • be sub-contractors
