The pancreas makes digestive enzymes and
endocrine hormones. I studied PKD regulatory
protein. PKD3 is found in the cells that make
digestive enzymes but PKD1 and PKD2 are found in
the cells that make endocrine hormones. PKD3
regulates the production of digestive enzymes
and is involved in inflammation.
